 Located on the borders of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, Cross Country Self Drive Horsebox Hire provides easy and convenient access to and from major trunk roads and motorways (M40 and M1).

We offer beautiful easy to drive new coach built 2-stall self drive horsebox hire, capable of carrying up to 2x16.2hh horses with ease. Whether it is for ferrying to the vet, a well earned day out with your horse, your own horsebox is off the road or a show where you want to arrive in style rather than trailer it!

We currently run the eye-catching Maneline Chaser coach built horseboxes on Renault Master 3.5 tonne chassis, as from past experience, our clients have found these to be very sturdy, well made, versatile, fuel economical and most importantly, easy to handle and drive. These coach built horseboxes are rear facing for the horses, have a low ramp for the easy accessibility for old and youngstock, a large groom area in the back for ample storage of feed, hay and lockable external/internal tack lockers.

Our boxes:

  • Are fully insured, covered by ess roadside relay and offer unlimited mileage
  • Are regularly serviced for your and our peace of mind
  • Are not sign-written, so no embarrassing messages on the outside of the box shouting “Not Mine”
  • Are sanitised and valeted before each hire so it will feel brand new each time you and your horse step inside it
  • Are always complete with a full tank of diesel, all we ask is that you replace what you use
  • Are complete with a friendly face and exceptional customer service on collection and departure so that the whole experience will be a pleasure for you
If you wanted to leave a car at our Headquarters during your hire period, you would be very welcome to do so. We offer ample, safe and secure parking with personnel on site 24 hours a day.

We pride ourselves on our friendly customer service and have set up a central booking and credit card payment system, in order to make life easier for you.

As soon as you book with us, you will be sent a confirmation of your booking via email (or post if you do not have access to an email system) and entered in the central diary to ensure that the box is guaranteed yours for the period that you want it. We would always take a 25% non-returnable deposit on hires at least 2 weeks in advance and will take full payment for hires less than 2 weeks from booking.
